Klonopin can interact with certain other drugs which include antidepressants, barbiturates and alcohol too, when combined with any of them in treatment.

The barbiturates that can interact with Klonopin include Amobarbital, Butalbital, Pentobarbital, Phenobarbital and Secobarbital.

Klonopin can interact with certain antibiotics or antifungals which include Clarithromycin, Erythromycin, Isoniazid, Itraconazole, Ketoconazole, Miconazole, and Telithromycin. Klonopin also interacts with Narcotics or opiates such as morphine, oxycodone, and hydrocodone.

It can interact with other benzodiazepines, including Alprazolam, Chlordiazepoxide, Clorazepate, Diazepam, Estazolam, Flurazepam, Lorazepam, Midazolam, Temazepam, and Triazolam. Protease inhibitors such as Amprenavir, Atazanavir, Fosamprenavir, Indinavir, Nelfinavir, Ritonavir, Saquinavir.

Klonopin can also interact with seizure medications and sleep medications.

Alcohol, when combined with Klonopin, can increase the risk of side effects which include drowsiness, memory loss, difficulty breathing and confusion. It can cause serious side effects too.

Alcohol should be avoided while taking Klonopin. Anesthetics, when combined with Klonopin, can increase the risk of side effects as mentioned for alcohol and can also cause serious side effects.
